AQI LogoAQI index   Pollutant: Ozone
Today's AQI Forecast: 47
Corresponding Ozone concentration is 56 ppb.
Air Quality: Good
Health Advisory: At this level the air is probably safe for most people. However, some people are unusually sensitive and react to ozone with an AQI in this range, especially at the higher values (in the 80s and 90s). People with heart and lung diseases such as asthma, and children, are especially susceptible. People in these categories, or people who develop symptoms when they exercise at "yellow" AQI levels, should consider avoiding prolonged outdoor exertion during the late afternoon or early evening when ozone concentrations are highest.

About this index. Forecast Discussion.

Ozone season is March 1 - October 31. Ozone Forecasting season is May 1 - September 30.
Particulate Matter Forecasting will take place throughout the year.

Important! In March 2008, EPA strengthened the air quality standards for ground-level ozone, a primary component of smog. These new standards mean that lower levels of ozone will now be reported as unhealthy in the daily smog forecasts and in the Air Quality Index (AQI). This website reflects this change.
